The 67th National Hardware Show will take place May 10-12, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show's exhibit space is nearly sold out, according to show organizers, making it the place to be for retailers, wholesalers and distributors looking for the latest and most innovative products and programs the industry has to offer.
The show will feature not only an impressive lineup of seminars, Social Networking Roundtables and product demonstrations, but also a variety of products offered across seven categories: Hardware & Tools; Homewares; Lawn & Garden/Outdoor Living; Paint & Accessories; Plumbing & Electrical; Storage & Organization; and Tailgating, with core product categories also being showcased in the Show's International Sourcing area along with a new product debut with camping & picnic.
This year's show will also feature the strongest and most diverse lineup of buyers ever, with more attendees from non-traditional retailers like grocery chains, including Wakefern/ShopRite and Price Chopper, and Mass Merchant/Specialty/Internet Catalog companies like Target, Amazon.com, QVC and Home Shopping Network. Also represented are Wholesale Clubs (Costco, Sam's Club, BJs); Hardware Cooperatives (Ace, True Value, Do it Best and Home Hardware); Hardlines Distributors (Pro Group, Distribution America and Orgill); Chains (CVS and Albertson's); and Lawn/Garden/Outdoor Living Distributors (Gro Group, Commerce Corporation and Foster's).
The 2011 event will also see more independent hardware retailers attending with the co-location of the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) Annual Convention, which will incorporate such events as The Young Retailer of the Year and Retail Innovators of the Year awards. The National Hardware Show(R) held in conjunction with the NRHA All-Industry Convention will also present for the first time "Independent's Day," a celebration of independent hardware dealers that will close out the three-day Show. Along these lines, the Show will promote such ideas as "finding new products," "finding new customers" and "increasing outreach to existing customers."
