(CSD), recently announced a dynamic new engineered lumber software to design roof and floor systems for residential and commercial construction.
Using CSD's iStruct™ platform, Georgia-Pacific's updated FASTSuite® software consists of FASTPlan® design layout software, FASTBeam® beam sizing software, and FASTOpt® material optimization software. The programs use an intuitive drawing interface combined with simple input methods to create faster designs.
In addition, some new and enhanced features of the software include:
-Ability to calculate load distribution throughout the structure including stick framed and trussed roofs
-Full input and export capabilities for DXF, DWG and PDF formats
-Innovative 3D modeling allows the user to observe and draw simultaneously
-Live chat for training and support
-Auto placement of photorealistic bearing details
-Fully customizable user options
-Designs feature Georgia-Pacific engineered lumber products, as well as dimension lumber and metal connectors
-Project management module to keep all files, take-offs and quotes organized
-Connectivity to automated saw operations
