Construction employment increased by 31,000 in October 2015, according to the latest report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, released last week. Over the past 12 months, construction has added 233,000 jobs.
The 31,000 jump comes after several months of little employment change in the sector.
During October, employment in nonresidential specialty trade contractors rose by 21,000. Most of those gains came in the non-residential sector.
