|Building Frameless Kitchen Cabinets is a 144 page, full color manual complete with photographs and detailed illustrations. It explains all the issues involved with the set-up, design, construction, and installation of European Frameless cabinets using the 32mm system. The book has both Metric and Imperial measurements but is based on the Metric system and that's the suggested format. Upper, base, corner, and pantry cabinets, with and without drawers, are fully detailed. There is also a section on kitchen design and door making.
The author is Danny Proulx, who is in the cabinet business and teaches kitchen cabinetmaking at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada. He also writes a small business and cabinetmaking question and answer column for CabinetMaker magazine.
Frameless European cabinets are a systemized approach to building a cabinet without the wood frame using construction techniques and hardware specifically designed to produce a high quality case. System cabinet construction eliminates the need for highly skilled workers and reduces the manufacturing time without sacrificing quality.
