|Permit Place, www.permitplace.com, announced today that it will provide free access to government permit applications that can be filled out online. The service will begin in the Puget Sound and Los Angeles regions at the end of October 2000, gradually expanding to two thousand cities by late fall of 2001. Permit Place, with headquarters in Tacoma, Washington, is a nation-wide permit consulting company and a supplier of permit information on the Web.
Bob Robinson, CEO, veteran permitting consultant, explained, "Our new system should save the construction industry hundreds of trips on crowded freeways and countless hours waiting in line. It will also be a tremendous time and cost savings for government agencies."
The permit forms, instructions and fee schedules will be available free to anyone. Users will be able to fill out building permit application forms on line, determine fees, and print them, ready for submittal.
