|DANVILLE, VA -- Yorktowne Cabinetry has opened a new 256,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Danville, Virginia that will be able to produce 1,600 cabinets a day. The company invested $19 million into the facility, and plans on hiring 300 employees within its first year of operation.
Yorktowne currently manufactures over 350,000 items including 74 different door styles in cherry, maple, hickory, oak and thermo foil, plus a full complement of cabinet shapes and sizes, accessories and decorative elements. Distribution is primarily east of the Mississippi River.
"In addition to increased capacity to serve existing and new customers," said Manufacturing Operations Vice President Joseph Stenglein, "Danville will help spearhead Yorktowne's expansion into the Southeast U.S."
