|VALLEY FORGE, PA -- CertainTeed Corporation has expanded its arrangement with GB Home Equity – Home Improvement Lending (GBHIL) to give professional CertainTeed-credentialed contractors an easier way of offering financing to potential homeowner customers.
Under this arrangement, CertainTeed-credentialed contractors can obtain three-, six- and 12-month unsecured loans or lines of credit that they in turn can offer their homeowner customers as an alternative option for financing home improvement projects.
The financing program is designed to help contractors streamline and enhance the sales process with homeowners who are in need of financing for small home improvement projects. Contractors with at least one CertainTeed professional installation or product knowledge credential can apply directly through GBHIL to participate in the program. Upon approval from GBHIL, these professionals can offer prospective customers an attractive method of financing their projects.
Based on a homeowner's credit, an unsecured loan is a quick transaction that can be approved in under an hour. According to Dan Kindl, Market Manager for GHBIL, the process is simple. The homeowner and building professional together complete a brief application and then fax it to GBHIL. Once the job is complete and closing documents are signed and delivered, GBHIL pays the contractor directly and the homeowner begins scheduled payments. A variety of options are available including no interest-no payment, no interest-minimum payment and straight-term interest and payment.
