|PHOENIX, AZ -- Shea Homes is now offering new technology developed by LiTera that allows homebuyers access to built-in home surveillance, guard gate cameras and much more. Each home now has the ability to be accessed by a new state-of-the-art GoAccess Portal giving "eyes and ears" access to their home and its technology.
No matter where you are, GoAccess allows remote access to see and hear everything online through a personal, secure website, compatible TV, and in- home touch screen monitor. Providing connectivity to homes for on-the-go homeowners, GoAccess has the capability to record internal and external areas of the home, sync and manage other compatible electronics such as lighting, air and heating or sprinkler systems, utilize home PCs from any location, and monitor children's online activities and conversations through LiTera's PredatorWatch program. In addition to securing the family, home and investments, LiTera technology helps homeowners by reducing theft and insurance costs.
"We are delighted to partner with Shea Homes to offer our affordable products that provide a gateway to household management and security," said Doug Ralston, CEO of LiTera Companies. "Shea Homes' reputation for providing the highest degree of customer service and amenities for their communities is an excellent fit with our technology."
This month Shea Homes rolled out the LiTera technology in two Valley communities - Desert Vista at Sonoran Foothills in Phoenix and La Mirada at Seville in Gilbert. Plans for 2007 will include the introduction of the new technology in additional Shea communities. Currently the technology is an optional amenity to Desert Vista homebuyers, while the GoAccess Portal and front- and back-door cameras are installed standard in all homes at La Mirada at Seville. In addition, all La Mirada homebuyers have access to LiTera's One Number Support solution giving new homebuyer access to support for their new technology-enabled homes.
With the GoAccess Portal homeowners receive e-mails when there has been movement at their homes' front or back doors. Additionally, parents can monitor computer activity with the GoAccess technology so that they are alerted when a child types or receives an e-mail with key predator phrases such as "don't tell" and "meet me." Other remote features include the ability to record on DVR activity at the home entries, opening doors and garages to allow access to the home, and the monitoring of community guard gate cameras.
In addition to home monitoring access, members can also take advantage of other GoAccess Portal capabilities from the home's touch screen located in the kitchen, such as online shopping through the local grocer, listening to music, browsing the Internet, to looking up recipes for dinner.
