VANCOUVER, CANADA -- Ainsworth is introducing a new publication for concrete forming professionals, "Maximize Pours – Minimize Costs: A Guide to Getting the Most from Concrete-Forming Panels." The guide, which is available upon request, outlines tips and techniques to obtain more pours-per-panel.
Ainsworth developed the guide in response to requests from contractors. "We're frequently asked how to get more reuses from concrete-forming panels," says Mark Sutherland, sales manager, industrial and engineered wood products for Ainsworth. The guide provides suggestions on how contractors can achieve higher reusability rates through careful use and simple techniques.
"One of our customers tells us he regularly gets 40 pours from his HDO, which is outstanding," Sutherland explains. "We'd like to help everyone realize the full benefits of overlaid concrete-forming products." The publication includes tips for fabricating forms, using form release agents, pouring and vibrating, stripping and cleaning, repairing, storage and handling.
Ainsworth produces the Pourform line of concrete-forming panels, including Pourform-101 ®, Pourform-107 ®, Pourform-HDO ® and Pourform-pH ®. The high-performance overlaid panels offer contractors high reusability in comparison with traditional plywood forming materials, which can save significantly on overall panel costs and labor.
"Many contractors are still using BB plyform for their concrete forming, and we want to show them how much time and money they could be saving by switching to an overlaid panel," says Sutherland. "Best of all, they're competitively priced when compared on a cost-per-pour basis."
