Electrical contractors and estimators will gather March 17-20, 2010 in Tempe, AZ, for the 28th User's Conference held for its customers by McCormick Systems.
Agenda highlights include "BIM In The Electrical Industry: Beyond 3D Modeling," a review of how to put an electrical estimate to work as a project management tool, and a refresher (suitable for veterans and relative newbies) on estimating checks and balances.
McCormick's annual User's events are lauded by attendees for the information offered by the company and what's shared between users from different parts of the country in hallway discussions, the reception, and the official event supper.
Typical of user comments received in the past is this, from George A. Kreykes of Kreykes Electric (Lynwood, Ill.), after a conference: "It was a great opportunity to boost my knowledge and be informed of the latest, including McCormick updates and improvements. Also, I got a chance to interact with other users for ideas."
In addition to presentation information and ideas to customers, McCormick's executives and programmers use the event as a "sounding board" – obtaining from customers their ideas on how the company's software can be enhanced.
