The Hoover Dam is a spectacular structure. However right next door, another engineering feat is taking place: a new bridge that will alleviate traffic on the dam's ridge.
Known as the Hoover Dam Bypass (Highway 93), the new bridge has been in the works for years. A dedicated website shows you the final design (expected opening November 2010) as well as photo galleries and slideshows that document time lapse progress from several different angles. (hint: the Arizona to Nevada angle offers the best time lapse shots.)
Check out the time lapse slideshows HERE.
