| Leo Lapat, designer of the E-Z Spread n' Lift for installing cabinets and door frames, has “re-invented” his product into two separate tools (as well as a junior version) that work even more effectively for contractors.
The first tool is the CABINETpro. This is the tool that has the most significant changes and is greatly improved over the original tool. It now
has large, heavy duty 1/2" x 1" steel base supports that have adjustable
levelers at each corner. It also has a bubble level attached to the base
for easy leveling of the tool. Shafts have also been upgraded with 3/4 10 threads and an adjusting nut instead of acme threads. There is now virtually no play in these parts. Tube diameters have also changed to .76" I.D. from .82” I.D.
The name of the second tool is the E-Z Door Frame Spreader. This is
virtually the same as the original tool except that he eliminated the
extension shaft assembly for spreading a door frame vertically. If this has to be done a block of wood and a hammer can be used since there are usually no shims between the header and top door frame. Eliminating this extension
makes for a much simpler tool.
The last tool is the Jr. CABINETpro which replaces the Junior
Lift. This tool did not change much except for the smaller I.D. tube sizes
and the same size threads as the CABINETpro tool. This tool is now much
more stable than the original Junior Lift.
New customers will also get the Heavy Duty Storage and carrying case with each tool at no additional cost.
