| CHICAGO, IL -- Building Media, Inc. and SC Easley & Associates, two prominent building science education companies, have formalized a long-standing relationship by announcing a merger of the two companies.
The merger of Building Media, Inc. – a leader in providing online training and distance learning to the construction industry, with SC Easley & Associates – an internationally recognized building science consulting firm – will strengthen the presence of both organizations by joining the resources of their industry-recognized educational specialists.
The consolidated organization will continue to be known as Building Media, Inc. (BMI), and will be headquartered in Chicago IL., with satellite offices in California and Washington State. BMI will continue to provide consultation and support to building materials manufacturers, governmental agencies, builder trade organizations and industry associations to help promote sound building science in the construction industry. In addition to the online educational services and programs, the new company now adds workshop and seminar training along with building science consultation to its portfolio of services.
The leadership team of BMI brings a wealth of experience to the building industry:
Steve Easley – President Steve has over 25 years experience in the industry, and was a Professor of Building Construction and Contracting with tenure at Purdue University for 10 years. He is often a featured speaker at conferences because of his extensive field experience and practical approach to solving problems and providing education within the industry.
Darren Harris – Chief Operating Officer Darren has over 15 years experience in marketing, business development, and public relations in the building products industry. Darren was the public relations manager for the Engineered Wood Association and the former editor of Environmental Achievement and other McGraw-Hill Construction Information Group publications.
Craig Savage – Chief Marketing Officer Craig has been a General Building Contractor, Remodeler, and Custom Builder for over 25 years. Craig was an editor at The Journal of Light Construction Magazine, and the Director of the JLC LIVE Training shows.
