A Product Specification Calculator, as well as a Product Comparison Calculator, was built into the site to aid in product selection.
LP also announced that it plans to convert its flagship oriented-strand board (OSB) mill in Hayward, Wis., to LP SmartSide product production within 12 months. LP is investing $24.3 million to enhance the facility.
"Because of sustained demand by builders across the country, we moved up our strategy for serious and significant investment in LP SmartSide product growth. We're converting the Hayward mill instead of considering mill expansions that could take up to 24 months," Ben Skoog, brand manager-LP Engineered Sidings said.
