| A Southern California entrepreneur has introduced a 'no-tool' picture
hanger for drywall called the Monkey Hook. He introduced the product at
the National Hardware Show and was awarded Do-It-Yourself Retailing
magazine's "Retailers Choice" award by a panel of retail executives.
The Monkey Hook installs by hand in seconds and has a 'self-locking' feature that enables it to hold 50 lbs. securely on drywall, more than most pictures or wall decor weigh. Its EZ self-boring tip eliminates the need for any tools in order to penetrate the drywall or to install.
Retailers, understandably, were going bananas over its wide appeal and potential. One of ACE Hardware's largest members placed an order for its 12 stores.
