| NASHVILLE, TN -- Louisiana-Pacific Corporation announced that it will donate an additional 1.2 million square feet of oriented strand board (OSB) product to Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts, bringing the total LP product contribution to 2.7 million square feet. LP had previously announced the donation of 1.5 million square feet of OSB to rebuilding efforts in the days immediately following Hurricane Katrina hitting the Gulf Coast.
The OSB product donated, which includes sub-flooring, wall and roof sheathing, will be used to construct the core structure of more than 500 affordable homes in the Gulf region, as part of Habitat for Humanity's Operation Home Delivery.
