| WASHINGTON -- More than 100,000 housing professionals are expected to attend the 2007 International Builders' Show (IBS), Feb. 7-10, in Orlando. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) event, held in one of the largest convention centers in the country, will feature the most cutting-edge designs, technologies, products and services for the home building industry. A record 1,900 exhibitors will be on display across more than a million net square feet of exhibit space.
Products and services spanning more than 300 building industry categories will be featured at the housing industry's largest new-product showcase. Here are just some of the many exciting innovations that will be on display at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center.
Appliances:
Alsons will exhibit its line of distinctively styled showerheads and will debut IN2ITION, an ergonomically designed system which combines a traditional hand-held shower with five spray settings and a fixed showerhead with an extra wide spray. It is a unique 2-in-1 system allowing consumers to use either the hand-held shower or showerhead separately or together for a full-body shower experience.

GridPoint will exhibit its award-winning intelligent energy management appliances, which provide clean backup power, integrate renewable energy and improve energy efficiency. Fire Stone Home Products will introduce its Chat Fire Set, a new outdoor fire pit that instantly turns into a sturdy coffee table with a beautiful English granite top. International Fireplace & Grill will exhibit a builder-friendly outdoor kitchen island of individual frame modules that are constructed of fully welded aluminum that can be bolted together at the job site for easy installation. SFA Saniflo Inc. will exhibit its Saniplus Macerating Toilet System, which allows for the construction of bathrooms where it is impossible or cost-prohibitive to install conventional plumbing fixtures that require below-floor drainage. Instead of routing the flush water through a floor drain, the Saniplus system moves it through a rear-spigot outlet in the toilet bowl to a macerator pump contained in a small plastic box on or inside the wall behind the toilet.

Thermador, in celebration of its 75th year, will introduce two new lines of wall ovens, the chiseled Masterpiece and the robust Professional Series. The new Masterpiece Series wall ovens offer a massive oven cavity with 16 different cook modes and 20 pre-programmed recipes, while the Professional Series ovens feature a heavy-duty professional-style design which includes a dishwasher-safe rotisserie.
Trane will introduce the high-efficiency variable-speed XV90i gas furnace with TRANE CleanEffects whole-house air filtration technology, removing up to 99 percent of airborne allergens. While the industry standard is still single-stage furnaces, the two-stage XV90i furnace saves energy because it typically runs at the first stage--65 percent of capacity--80 percent of the time.
