| Aged Woods, Inc., a leading supplier of reclaimed, remilled antique wood flooring under the brand name Aged Woods®, has announced the launch of its new Rescued Maple collection of strip maple flooring. Removed from old factories and warehouses, Rescued Maple has been refurbished to produce an attractive, LEED-compliant hardwood flooring option with a face-width ranging from 2" to 2-1/2". Aged Woods has removed layers of finish and dirt accumulated over decades, then pre-finished Rescued Maple for a light-colored, highly reflective hardwood flooring product ideal for retail environments or other daylight strategy settings.
The rich and unique character of reclaimed hardwood floors are prized by architects, designers, specifiers and homeowners in projects seeking LEED certification. Aged Woods® branded Rescued Maple can contribute points or credits for LEED projects under the category of Materials & Resources Credit 3 – Reclaimed Materials, as well as Materials & Resources Credit 7 – Regional Materials, for most projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition, Aged Woods branded hardwood flooring, including its new cost-effective Rescued Maple product, can contribute to a LEED scorecard for building projects in Knoxville, Louisville, Indianapolis, Detroit and Buffalo.
